2020 CDBG Grant Schedule Announced
All CDBG funded activities must meet one of three National Objectives of the program: 1) benefit to low and moderate income persons; 2) prevention and/or elimination of slum and blight conditions; and 3) meeting community development needs having a particular urgency. Every application is submitted via a municipality on behalf of the town itself, a business or a non-profit. It’s an excellent example of public/private partnership.
Four programs should be of interest to LC towns: Community Enterprise (business façade or streetscape improvements in villages or downtowns; Economic Development (gap funding to assist specific businesses in creating jobs for low-to-moderate income people), Micro-Enterprise Assistance (grants or loans to for-profit businesses for working capital and interior renovations), and Public Infrastructure
