Workshop on Climate Change Adaptations Coming Up May 24
The workshop will introduce a variety of tools (prepared in cooperation with the Maine Coastal Program, the Municipal Planning Assistance Program and the nine other regional councils) that could assist Lincoln County towns to improve their resilience to sea level rise and the increasing frequency and intensity of major storms.
The Tool-Kit covers transportation, stormwater, wastewater, drinking water, comp planning, shoreland zoning, subdivision and site plan review ordinances, and other topics. Copies of the full reports will be available at the meeting, and will include links to Maine data appropriate for use in town decision-making.
The workshop is open to the public, free of charge. Registration is not required, but please email LCRPC staff Harold Spetla at [email protected] or [email protected] to help us plan for enough printed copies for all attendees. For more information, please contact County Planner Bob Faunce by email or phone (754-0069). The LCRPC office is at 297 Bath Road, Wiscasset, next to the SeaBasket Restaurant.
