Damariscotta Waterfront RFP
In April, the Town of Damariscotta was awarded a $3 million grant from the Economic Development Administration to reconstruct the public infrastructure in the Town’s waterfront area and assist in the funding for storm drainage, parking lot reconstruction improved public access and a number of public amenities.
The grant which is being matched by more than $1 million in private donations and local taxpayers dollars will also allow the Town to proceed with constructing flood resiliency measures designed to protect historic downtown buildings from rising sea levels over the next several decades.
Yesterday, the Town posted the request for proposals (RFP) for engineering firms who might be interested in teaming up with storm resiliency experts in the preparation of a proposal for the Town to consider.
