The Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission presents a Short Term Rental Workshop on Tuesday, May 8th at 6:00 PM.
The Short Term Rental Workshop will provide attendees with a background and history on short term rentals, a look at varying approaches to regulating short term rentals, and a first-hand account of a local municipality's experience with regulating short term rentals. We also hope you'll share your community's experiences and issues.
Key speakers will include:
Aga Dixon, an attorney with Drummond Woodsum, who is a former land use planner for the Maine Land Use Planning Commission. Aga recently had an article on short term rentals published by the Maine Association of Planners.
John Root, City of Rockland Code Enforcement Officer, who oversaw the implementation of short term rental regulations in Rockland. John can provide unique insight into the trials of creating short term rental ordinances.
There is no charge for the workshop -- planners, code enforcement officials, realtors, chambers of commerce, we hope to see you!
