Local Resources Available For Career & Small Business Planning

Lincoln County Regional Planning and New Ventures Maine are teaming up to provide Lincoln County and especially Wiscasset area residents with opportunities for individual career and small business coaching, classes and workshops. LCRPC works with towns, businesses and non-profits to strengthen our economy and communities. New Ventures Maine offers a variety of tools that help individuals and small business succeed in the changing economy.

Whether your goal is building a career, starting or growing your small business, managing money, returning to school, or being active in the community, NVM presents classes and workshops at no charge, including in-person and online options, as well as one-on-one coaching for individuals. NVM also provides resources such as mini-grants for marketing your small business and matched-savings programs for building an emergency fund, going to college, growing your business, or buying your first home.

Erica Quin-Easter is NVM’s Midcoast Regional Manager – please call her at 386-1664 or email [email protected] to make an appointment and learn more. The appointments will be held at the LCRPC office, 297 Bath Road (next to the Sea Basket).

New Ventures Maine’s Midcoast Region covers from Brunswick to Belfast, and travel assistance may be available to help you attend trainings and access services.  Boothbay area residents are welcome to contact Erica or the Community Navigator of Boothbay Region Community Resources Council, 633-6272. The LCRPC can provide small businesses with information about workforce training, business financing, and other resources and can be reached at 882-5983 or [email protected]
