2015 FIRMs
The Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission has created a Google Earth-based version of the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for Lincoln County that were scheduled to go into effect July 16th, 2015. These are official maps of FEMA and have been created for the convenience of municipal officials and Lincoln County property owners. The official FEMA maps can also be viewed and downloaded in GIS files online at the FEMA Map Portal. They are also available at each town office. The flood hazard file included in each data is referred to as the special flood hazard area which are areas that are next to a river, stream, or coastal waterway that is susceptible to flooding during the 1% annual chance flood (100 yr. storm). Insurance companies use FIRMS to calculate flood insurance rates. For more thorugh information on FIRMS, flood zones, flood insurance, etc, click here.
Each download attachment below not only includes the town's FIRM, but also the town parcel layer in Google Earth format. If parcel information is desired, make sure to click off the FIRM layer in Googel Earth in the left side of the screen, then click on the desired parcel in the viewer.
